Please accept my hopes and prayers for a blessed and glorious Christmas day for all!
Okay, so I'm a bit behind the times in blogging on this event, but the Peace on Earth hunt is on in Second Life and it's loads of fun! Check out the official Peace on Earth blog-site for details and then get thyself to a starting point (there are 4 main ones). However, the hunt is circular so you can start off at any of the participating shops and then just follow the landmarks provided in each of the freebie globes. Now, as with any freebie hunt, you might not like all of the items given, and to be honest some of the prizes I though were downright poorly made, but that's not the reason for the hunt. Getting good stuff is fun, but getting together will friends and making new ones, spreading the idea of Peace on Earth and discovering new shops and places within SL is what it's all about.PLEASE!!!!! DO NOT drop your globes on the floor at the participating shops/malls and then leave them there for someone else to clean up. It looks nasty, you come across as inconsiderate and shop owners get angry. Most of the globes will go into your inventory as a folder (although a few will drop into your Objects folder). My suggestion, to keep your inventory from becoming over-run will folders, is that you create a folder for the hunt. Call it something like !POE HUNT ITEMS! (the exclaimation mark will move the folder up toward the top of your inventory) and periodically toss your globe folders inside it.Also, please don't gripe in open chat (or in any group chats for that matter) if you don't like what a creator offers. That's the best way to ensure that that creator will no longer offer freebies or participate in events like this. Remember, it's not the freebie that's important, it's the meaning of the event itself. We don't have to celebrate Christmas to believe in Peace on Earth, so get involved and enjoy the hunt!
The other day, fellow Vainers and I were lamenting the need of a way to keep track of all our favorite freebie and fashion blog updates for SL. In a moment of brilliance (or insanity - ask me again in a couple of month ;P ), I offered to start keeping track of such blogs. Sooooooooo, if you have a favorite fashion or freebie blog you'd like posted on the new SL Fashion Bloggerer blog, let me know. I'll start posting links and possibly little lead-ins for the more popular ones. With any luck, it will make it easier to navigate the blogs.
Notice to designers and creators: if you'd like me to highlight some of your freebie or dollarbie clothing, skin, hair, shoes or accessories, drop me the item in a folder with the title BLOG REVIEW - (Your Store Name Here). I'll consider items costing up to 10L, but would prefer free and 1L goods.
I'm also playing around with the idea of hosting freebies/dollarbies from designers and creators, similar to what GNubies, Free Dove and Free*Style does. If this would interest y'all, let me know. I don't what to just duplicate what's already out there, but I'd like to give new players and residents more options.
So, tell me what ya'll think!
The December dollarbie is out. It's an adorable potted mini Christmas tree trimmed in ribbons with a mild bling topper. The tree has a total of 6 prims and it's worth every little one of them! As always, it comes packed in a wearable tote. This month's tote naturally has a holiday theme.Because of the success of the Grab Bag event a few weekends ago, I've added a display with several random Grab Bags in the shoppe. Selection will vary, but quailty will always be good! Take a chance and drop 1L, 5L, or 10L on a Grab Bag today and see what your prize is!Stay tuned to this blog for information on the Grand Opening of Enchanted Life Duex!
I don't do a lot of creating ingame so when I find a fabulous freebie, I am all over it. Since Enchanted Life focuses on new players who have little or no lindens (and residents who are discriminant with their money), I wanted to let you know about a store called Jill's where you can get 2-3 free dresses and a multi-pack of free stockings including the dress in the pic above. I credit Free*Style's ever helpful blog for pointing me toward this shop that is now in my fav picks list on my profile. If you have any spare lindens, you'll find they go a long way at Jill's and you will fall in love with her clothing!
Not wanting to leave out the guys, I've added a new November Dollarbie, MASK Green Man - Seasons is colored to show the change of the seasons. It is unisex and can be worn (on the chin) or be displayed in your home. Pick up your copy today! Enchanted Life
November's dollarie is out! It's a lovely, casual top called Chocolate Orange Cream that has sculpty prim arm cuffs and a faux two piece look. I hope to have something more appropriate for the guys by the weekend! Come on by and get yours - for only $1L! Enchanted Life
This Saturday and Sunday, November 8th and 9th, Enchanted Life will be holding a Grab Bag Weekend event. Dozens of Grab Bags will be placed inside and outside the shoppe, upstairs and down, all priced between $1L and $10L for an assortment of items for home, yard, and men and women. These are all good quality items, however, like all grab bags, you are buying them blind (other than the item description) at tremendously reduced prices. So stop on by and grab a handful of bargains at Enchanted Life.
Greetings from the Second Life! I'm excited to announce the creation of An Enchanted Life's new blog. Enchanted Life is a virtual shoppe that caters mostly to new players, but offers a wide variety of low-cost, quality products (both resale and my own original creations) to all residents of the sometimes frustrating, often fabulous and always fascinating Second Life. Enchanted Life includes Enchanted Auras and Enchanted Sanctuary. Enchanted Auras provides quality, low cost shape and body selections for both female, male and child avatars. Enchanted Sanctuary is a garden available for those moments you want to relax and enjoy the ever changing scenery, with an array of posing options for photo opportunities.
Specifically, this blog will highlight specific items up for sale (either resales or EL originals) at least weekly (more often as resale items are sold), display monthly specials like the monthly dollarbie totes, and events particular to Enchanted Life and/or the Skybeam Estates.
Because most of the items sold are resale (transferable), be sure to pick up a copy of the stores return policy before making a purchase. Please adhere to both the Skybeam and Enchanted Life rules of conduct while visiting. No griefing allowed, no push scripts, no attached weapons (other than sheathed swords/daggers/axes for roleplaying purposes), no harrassment, respect private residences. In other words, play nice! *smile*
